Siddharthnagar had started functioning from 13 March 1998 with its only Branch and Head Office at Tetari Bazar Siddharthnagar with the AIM to provide exclusive financial services to the people of the district establishing itself as an example in the development and upliftment of the region. The bank has emerged as pioneer in Co-operative banking and in the last twenty two years the bank has shown excellence in progress and achievements. Standing to the test of time the bank has grown soundly establishing six branches spread across Siddharthnagar district providing its ultimate and unparalleled banking services catering to the need of financial services to the people at large.

Urban Co-Operative Bank Ltd, Siddharthnagar was promoted and established by the Late Moshin Khan (Advocate) and he was the 1st Chairman of the Bank and Late Md. Shamshul Shinda, he was the 1st Vice-Chairman of the Bank and the prominent Chairman and Director of the Bank were Shri M. Faruk and Dr. Md. Anis (Ex-Chairman), Sri S.P. Gupta, Shri Dr. M.S. Abbas, Shri A.R. Affaq, Shri Noorul Huda, Shri Ashghar Ali (Ex-Director) and the Chief Promoter of the Bank was Mr. Naiyer Alam Khan and now he is the Secretary/General Manager of the Bank.

The Bank got Banking License from Reserve Bank of India in the year 1998 and thereafter started growing at a rapid pace, catering to all financial needs of its members/ Customers by rendering prompt services. The bank opened its first Branch at Tetari Bazar (Head Office) in March 1999 at Siddharthnagar District. And now currently Six Branches of the Bank. The Bank has started earning profit from 1999. The Reserve Bank of India has classified the Bank has always been as 'A' Category Bank.
